Naples Police Chief Ciro M. Dominguez
Chief Dominguez was named the Chief of Police in October 2023 and is a veteran law enforcement professional of thirty-eight years; he started his career in 1982 at the Naples Police Department. Throughout his career, he has worked a variety of assignments that include patrol, investigations, training, internal affairs, tactical response/SWAT, aviation law enforcement, corrections, school security, and domestic security.
Chief Dominguez has held leadership positions with the Naples Police Department, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Hillsborough County Aviation Authority, and in 2020, retired as a colonel from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) in Tampa, Florida. At HCSO, he oversaw the Department of Operational Support (DOS). DOS was composed of the Homeland Security Division with the following areas: Aviation, Marine, Canine, SWAT, Bomb Team, Special Incident Management, Agriculture Section, School Resource Section, Environmental-Parks Unit, Community Outreach, and the Training Division.
