On Monday, February 12, 2024, as part of the Gulf Shore Boulevard North Utility Improvements Project and bypass road installation, Gulf Shore Boulevard North will be CLOSED from 7th Avenue North to Banyan Boulevard.
Gulf Shore Boulevard North will be closed in both directions, between 7th Avenue North and Banyan Boulevard for three (3) days, weather permitting. The road will be closed beginning at 7:00 AM. On Thursday, February 15, 2024 by 8:00 AM the bypass road will be open for north and south traffic traversing Gulf Shore Boulevard North.
Please note the following detour routes during closure 2/12 – 2/15:
- Northbound traffic on Gulf Shore Boulevard North will be detoured east on 7th Avenue North and then north / south onto US 41.
- Southbound traffic on Gulf Shore Boulevard North will be detoured east on Banyan Boulevard and then south onto US41.
- Residents living within the closures will have access to their driveways at all times.

Motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians should be alert for construction workers and equipment in and around this work zone. Please proceed with caution through this area and follow all detour arrow signs. Please allow for additional time for expected delays through the work zone and detour route.
