Question.
Five months after the storm, the streetlights on GSBN, north of Harbor Drive, are still out. When is FPL going to get our streetlights back on?
Answer.
For several months, FPL has worked shoulder-to-shoulder with communities across our service territory impacted by one of the most destructive hurricanes in the history of the United States. We prioritized restoration efforts in order to get communities and businesses back up and running, and we did so in record time for our customers. However, challenges remain, and streetlight repairs experienced delays due to the catastrophic impacts from Hurricane Ian and ongoing supply chain issues. We’ve recently increased our resources for repairs and are rapidly deploying additional crews focused on streetlight restoration in Southwest Florida. We are striving to have streetlight repairs completed by the end of spring.
